Beaches and coast
Cantabria has over 220 km of coastline with over ninety beaches (playas) to enjoy, with a diversity to suit all tastes. They include large, small, urban, wild and calm beaches, all opening out onto the picturesque Cantabrian Sea.
There are four local beaches which are very popular with visitors to Posada Ruilobuca. The playa de Oyambre is located near the mouth of the La Rabia estuary and in the natural park that also bears the same name. It is one of the area's most characteristic beaches and one of the best kept with its impressive dunes - a must for those who enjoy natural scenery with its impressive mountain backdrop.
